Coming from the North  
  • Take I-93 South to Boston.
  • Take exit number 26, to Storrow Drive west.
  • Once on Storrow Drive follow road while keeping the Charles River on your right.
  • The Hatch Shell will be on the right along the Charles River just before the Arthur Fiedler footbridge (small orange overpass) and the Copley Square exit.

Commuter Rail - T  
  • The commuter rail is a favorable alternative to driving and parking for Boston events.
  • The MBTA provides extra bus and subway service on July 4th. You may wish to buy tokens in advance.
    A one day pass entitles riders unlimited travel on the Blue, Green, Orange, and Red lines, all local buses, zones 1A and 1B of the commuter rail system, and inner harbor ferries.
  • Subway and bus fares will not be collected July 4 from 9:30pm-2:30am.

MBTA Subway  
  • Red Line: exit at the Charles/MGH stop and cross the Arthur Fiedler footbridge to the Esplanade.
  • Green Line: exit at the Arlington stop, walk up Arlington Street towards the Charles River, and cross the Arthur Fiedler footbridge to the Esplanade.
  • Subway and bus fares will not be collected July 4 from 9:30pm-2:30am.
